Trauma Therapy
Trauma Therapy
“Trauma” is a word we hear often these days, yet many people worry it must refer to something catastrophic. The fact is, “trauma” defines any emotional or stressful experience(s) that feel overwhelming, frightening, or too difficult to process at the time. These experiences—whether sudden events or ongoing—can affect how safe, connected, and grounded we feel in daily life. Trauma is not defined by magnitude alone, but by the impact it leaves on our mind and body.
In my practice, I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy, to support clients who have experienced any life event(s) that continue to cause emotional distress or self-limiting beliefs. My goal is to create a safe and attuned environment where clients can process their experiences, shed negative beliefs, and move toward greater freedom, balance, and emotional wellbeing.
